Blooming Color Wins Inaugural HP Inkspiration Award at Dscoop San Antonio
Having spent the past three days at the annual Dscoop (Digital Solutions Cooperative – A Cooperative of HP Graphic Arts Users) conference, the Blooming Color team comes home with an HP Inkspiration Award for their replica Vietnam Memorial Wall display. Awarded on April 14, 2016, the HP Inkspiration Awards celebrate the best of the best in innovative ways of producing exceptional print pieces using HP digital technology.
Of the award, company President Brian Scott said, “It is extremely rewarding for our company to be recognized as one of the best in digital print production, and to do so with a piece that meant so much to the community and to our veterans is even better.”
Produced on Blooming Color’s HP Scitex FB700 UV 98” Flatbed Press, the replica Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall took 30 hours to print on white MAX-metal and was finished with a matte laminate, cut to size and mounted to wooden frames in partnership with the Naperville Park District.
Blooming Color had several pieces on display at the Dscoop conference; also included was their promotional piece for the exclusive HP ElectroInk in Fluorescent Pink and an invitation produced with the Fluorescent Pink ink for Little Friends, a private, non-profit organization serving adults and children with autism and other developmental disabilities.
